The Buddha taught that mindfulness (Sati) is the path to the deathless. It is the practice of seeing things as they really are, moment by moment, without judgment or attachment. He famously instructed his followers to dwell 'ardent, clearly comprehending and mindful, removing covetousness and displeasure concerning the world. ' For the Buddha, mindfulness wasn't a stress-reduction technique; it was a tool for liberation. By observing the breath, the body, and the mind with steady attention, we dissolve the illusions of permanence and self, finding a deep, unshakeable peace in the reality of the present.

From now on all of my disciples must continuously practice. Then the Thus Come One' s Dharma body will always be present and indestructible."
